She didn’t like being spanked; she loved it.
“Oh, uuhh,” she moaned involuntarily.
The second slap made her come.
There was no warning. The pleasure just came barreling down at her, causing her to split apart and everything to turn into liquid heat. She came harder than she ever had by her own hand. She saw white pinpricks behind her eyes. He brought his hand around and pressed the vibrator even harder against her center.
“Too much,” she managed to say.
“Shh, Louisa. Ride it out, love.”
His other hand continued to spank her. Lou was helpless. She came again, the waves of feeling washed over her, making her shudder, till finally her body calmed.
Then his hand stilled.
He dipped his hand into her panties and removed the vibrator.
She felt him lift her up and set her down on the desk.
“How do you feel, Louisa?”
“Boneless.”
“Good. I’m going to help you lie back now.”
“I don’t think I can.”
That was the last rational sentence that came out of Lou’s mouth as he rubbed her with the vibrator and made her come again and again. His other hand roamed over Lou’s body, gently stroking her everywhere: over her hip bone, past her tummy, over the slope of her breast, grazing her nipple and then gently stroking her face as she came so hard it made her convulse like an epileptic.
Then he was helping her off the desk, and as soon as she was standing on unsteady feet, she found herself sitting on his lap with his arm wrapped around her.
“Thank you,” he whispered, and that was the last word either of them spoke for a long while.
When her breathing finally evened out, she felt him remove the blindfold.
Lou was unsure of the etiquette, so she quickly got up off his lap and began to get dressed. She wasn’t sure if she should thank him for this, although she wanted to. Was it weird want to thank spanking you, and making you come so hard you saw stars?
“I’ll call Genevieve when I’ve finished the paperwork.”
“I’ll walk you to the elevator.”
“I think I can manage.”
“I know, but I’ll walk you out just the same.”
They walked down the hall in silence. He pressed the button.
“I don’t know the etiquette for this situation,” Lou said, “but thank you?”
He laughed.
‘You’re welcome, Louisa.”
“I don’t even know your name,” she lied, having guessed early on that this must be Trick.
“You can call me Mr. Blue, Louisa.”
“Weird, but alright. Have a good day.”
“You as well, love.”
He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and steered her into the elevator and she was alone once again.
She closed her eyes and tried to catch her breath.
This was wrong. He was a stranger even though he didn’t feel like one and she should be ashamed, but she had never felt more alive.
Chapter 4
***Trick***
His first thought after he locked the door behind her was ‘he shouldn’t have done that.’ Then the small and twisted part of him started to plan a time they could do it again.
A virgin. Trick should not be playing with a virgin. He chose his partners carefully. Women over the age of thirty-four who were looking for an adventure, not a lifetime. Recovering from a bad breakup, or a divorce. Attention, pleasure, confidence, he knew what he had to give, what he could give, and it wasn’t enough for most women.
He had expected Louisa to be young and unfocused, or brash like Audra. Instead, she was shy and quirky and had an elegant beauty that she seemed embarrassed by.
She was nervous in his presence, yet he could feel her stealing little looks at him. He could tell she found him attractive.
He couldn’t help himself. He’d never wanted to touch someone so badly. When he rubbed her feet, she made little animal noises of pleasure. He could only imagine what noises she would make when her body was wrapped snugly around his cock.
He needed to stay away. Talking to her made it easy to see she was looking for more than sexual adventure. She was looking for love, and why would she have to settle? Trick didn’t do relationships... he did arrangements.
He could still remember every moment of that disastrous night when he sat down with Elena and told her he was sterile.
He’d cooked for her all afternoon. Chicken coq au vin was on the stove. Potato Dauphinoise was in the oven. A ridiculously expensive bottle of Chateauneuf de Pape was in the decanter.
He’d met Elena when he was styling a runway show. Her nose had been firmly planted in a book while he curled her hair. She was a delicious mix of smart and sexy.
Several months later he realized he’d fallen in love with her.
“I have something I need to tell you El. I can’t have children.”
He told her everything. How he’d gotten the measles at the age of twenty-four and how this simple child hood disease had nearly killed him. In the end he survived but he was left sterile.
She’d listened quietly and when he was finished, she got to her feet.
“I’m a twenty-six-year-old woman, Trick. I cannot believe you would let me waste six months of my life on you. What kind of person are you?”
She got up and left without another word. He never saw her again. It was devastating.
When he met her, she wasn’t even sure she wanted children. It was one of the first questions he had asked.
“Maybe?” she’d answered. “Someday, maybe. Maybe not? Probably not, actually. Why? —Do you?”
“I used to.” He answered honestly, and she hadn’t even questioned him about it. She just changed the subject.
Now the woman who had said she probably didn’t want to have children made him feel like a criminal. So much for their love story.
For months and months after Elena left, he went to work and came home like he was under a voluntary house arrest. Some days he’d actually feel guilty he didn’t tell her sooner. Some days he was so angry he wanted to hurt someone.
***
Why had he asked Louisa to reach out to him if she had questions? He always referred the female clients to Genevieve.
He knew this was a mistake, but he didn’t think he was going to be able to stay away.
Chapter 5
***Lou***
Lou waited till she was several blocks away from the office before she made her phone call.
“Hey, Audra?”
“Hi, baby, how’d it go?”
“Okay, I think? I spoke to a guy with a full sleeves of tattoos who was too good looking to be real; is that Trick?”
“Yup, that’s him. Are you okay? He can be a little rude. He told me that sex wasn’t a salve for the chaos in my life and I needed to set goals for my life and make a plan to reach them, and focus less on my pleasure. He was actually right, but he’s still sort of an ass. Did he say something mean to you?”
“Not really. He didn’t give me his real name though. He told me to call him Mr. Blue.”
“Sounds about right. With me, he was Mr. Black. You won’t see him again. Genevieve takes over after this, if it’s something you still want to do. Was it overwhelming?”
“Audra, you have no idea. Does Trick, I mean, is Trick ever one of the guys you get to choose from?”
“Oh, baby, I know he’s very pretty, but I don’t think he’s for you. I hear he’s into some really kinky shit, and he doesn’t do relationships. I don’t think he’d put himself on your list. You’re so sweet. But don’t worry. If you want to do this, I know he’ll find you someone wonderful. He’s a kinky motherfucker, but he’s also one hell of a matchmaker.”
“Oh. Listen I have to go to work now. But we are still having lunch tomorrow, right?”
“You know it, Lou. Think you’re gonna do this?”
“I think so."
When Louisa fi
nally made it home after work, it was almost one in the morning. Still, she sat down at her kitchen table and started to fill out all her paperwork. After she was finished, she emailed her gyno’s office and asked for a copy of her last exam to be emailed to her. When she finally lay down to sleep, it was after three in the morning. She was exhausted, but she couldn’t sleep. Instead, she replayed the events of the afternoon over and over in her head. She imagined herself as the woman in the photos. Kneeling on the floor. Trick tying her hands behind her back.
The next day, before her lunch with Audra, she called Genevieve.
“Hi, Louisa, do you have some questions for me?”
“No, but I’ve finished my paperwork.”
“You’re a go-getter, huh? Did you finish all of it? Mr. Blue is very particular about that.”
“I filled everything out. Some of the questions I didn’t have a real answer to. I wrote that I’d be willing to try it and see. Is that an okay answer?”
“That’s totally fine, Louisa, but I’ll be honest, you finished your paperwork so quickly I have to figure out a time for you to come back in. May I call you? How is your schedule next week?”
“I could do anytime Monday, or Wednesday, and Friday during the day or early afternoon. I start work at four.”
“Okay, Louisa, I’ll call you soon with a time. Have a good day.” She hung up the phone and headed to the subway, to meet Audra for lunch. Before they were halfway through lunch, Lou’s phone buzzed with a text from an unfamiliar number.
“Do you mind if I answer this?” she asked Audra.
“Of course not. It’s got to be important. You never check your phone when we’re out.”
Unknown: Same location. Monday at noon. If you’re late you will be punished. It would be a shame to make that luscious bottom any redder.
Louisa: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but punctuality is one of my biggest virtues. Most people forget this, but punctuality is a choice.
Unknown: Aren’t you the good girl!
Louisa: See you Monday. You can spend your weekend wondering what I’ll choose.
Then she turned her phone off and tucked it back inside her purse.
“Good news? You’re smiling.”
“Just a schedule thing.” Lou said.
Chapter 6
On Monday, Lou showed up to his office a half an hour early. She made herself go next door to the Beanery and get a cup of coffee. She didn’t need the caffeine, her body was jumpy with anticipation, but she wanted to snag a seat. How late did she have to be? Ten minutes would be enough right? Should she make it twenty? No ten would probably be fine.
She’d been up since eight this morning. She painted for a couple hours and then went to Sephora. She told the woman she was interested in a simple shadow and a real lipstick.
“I have a lunch date, and I don’t really know how to wear makeup.”
The Sephora girl took pity on her and gave her a full face of makeup, light enough to look natural yet enough to give her a little wow factor. It looked so good Lou bought the blush, lipstick, and shadow and gave her a generous tip.
There was a little wow factor hiding under her jeans and hoodie as well: blush colored boy shorts with copper-colored lace and a matching bra. It was the nicest and the most expensive underwear Lou had ever worn.
Lou pushed her bangs out of the way and tried to focus on the book in front of her. She needed a haircut, but the last one had gone so badly she had spent months growing it out. Now her fine hair hung like a sheet to her shoulders and her eyes disappeared under her bangs, but at least it wasn’t an outright embarrassment. She waited until she was five minutes late, and then she let herself walk across the street to the office.
Her tummy did flips in the elevator. Before the doors opened, she had a terrible thought. Audra said Genevieve always took over. She hadn’t flirted over a text with Genevieve, right? It had to have been Trick? He was meeting her again. And he didn’t meet everyone. He didn’t meet Audra. He must like Lou, just a little.
She knocked on the door and it opened right away. Relief poured through her body. Trick was once again looming in the doorway, and once again, Lou had missed the dress code. The man wore a grey three-piece suit and he literally took her breath away.
“You’re late.” His voice was hard, but it didn’t fool her at all.
“And you’re happy about it,” she said.
“You’re certainly feeling braver today, love.”
“Why not?” she said breezily. “It’s not like you’re the big bad wolf”
His big rumbly laugh was gorgeous.
“Don’t be so sure, Louisa.”
Chapter 7
*** Trick***
Trick couldn’t fight his laugh as Louisa walked through his door.
Her new found bravado was beautiful. Who was he kidding, she was beautiful even when she was wide-eyed and scared shitless. He remembered the first time he saw her on the security camera as she stood outside his door trying to work up the nerve to come inside. God, and the sight of her tiny little bare feet.
He had picked up her shoes before she could run from him.
He worried over her all weekend. Had he pushed her too far out of her comfort zone? Did she regret the encounter?
But here she was back at his door, glowing, and she looked to be anticipating her punishment as much as he was.
He never played with beginners, but for some reason, he had been unable to keep his hands off her.
He’d grown hard the moment she said, “I can’t talk to you about sex, looking at you is like looking at the Sun.” Then she froze, like the oddly phrased compliment had just slipped out of her mouth. All her emotions washed over her face so easily she could have starred in silent pictures.
“Come in. I thought we’d have some tea. You never got the cup I promised you on your last visit.”
“Alright.” He put his hand on her back and guided her through the hall into his office. He grinned as her body gave a little shiver in response to his touch.
“Is English breakfast alright, Louisa?”
“Any kind of tea is fine. Thank you. I only drink tea with Audra and she chooses. I never know what I’m drinking. You know we used to be roommates before she met Max. . . ”
“Your makeup looks lovely; is it new?”
“Thank you.” She flushed at the compliment. “It is. I don’t really know a lot about makeup so I got some help.”
“It suits you.”
“Thanks. Now if I could just fix my hair, but one step at time, right?”
So Audra had told her. Trick wasn’t angry with Louisa, not at all, but Audra should have known better. Trick didn’t mind if Louisa knew about him, but Audra held other’s secrets as well.
“Louisa, what did Audra tell you about me?’
“What?” She stilled. A guilty look filled her face.
“How did you know?” she whispered.
“Louisa.” He made his voice stern.
“I know your name, alright. Trick. It slipped out when Audra was telling me about you. She didn’t mean to say your name. She asked me not to tell you. She’s gonna kill me.”
“What else did she tell you about me?”
“You really want to hear this?” she asked.
“Louisa”
“Alright. She said you were an intense motherfucker, but that you were also like a pussy whisperer, that you have this way of matching someone perfectly.”
“Louisa, what is my occupation?” He gave her his most domineering voice.
“I’ll be honest, I’m sort of in uncharted territory here. Are you hoping to punish me if I don’t know the answer, because you win, I don’t know what people call this. I didn’t even know people did this kind of thing till Audra and Max told me about it, and I’m guessing ‘pussy whisperer’ isn’t your official title. I don’t know. What do you call it?”
Trick couldn’t stifle his laugh.
“Would you like some milk and sugar?
” he asked her.
“You do know your being completely confusing, right?”
Trick gave her a reassuring smile. “Milk, sugar?” he asked again.
“Yes, please” she finally answered.
“If I put the mugs on a tray, do you think you could carry them to the elevator?”
“Sure. I’m a waitress. That’s my mad skill. I carry things. Wait. You’re not going to punish me in public, are you?”
“The punishment can wait, and you’re not a waitress; you’re an artist who waits tables. I’m taking you to the roof. You’ll like the view. The punishment can wait, and yes, it will be private.”
He added a box of Madeleines to the tray.
Her hair didn’t suit her at all; it simply hung like a curtain, obscuring her beauty. He’d wanted to cut it the first time he saw her. He would draw attention to her eyes and accent her pouty little mouth. Give the cut just enough edge to contrast her sweetness.
Why don’t you go up first and I’ll join you in a moment. Tell the attendant you’re heading to the roof.
It would be easier to take her to his salon, but here he had her all to himself.
Also, if he took her to the salon, he would have to explain why several of her portrait paintings now hung on his salon walls.
After their first meeting, Trick was curious. He wanted to see her art for himself. He thought he would like it. He hadn’t expected to love it. He’d expected her to have skill, but he never expected to feel like the secret selves of the people in the portraits had somehow been revealed to him. Could she do that? He wondered? Was it possible she saw through him now to the very truth of him? He’d sent Genevieve back the next morning to buy them all. He went into the bathroom to collect his supplies.
When he made it onto the roof, she was standing on the edge taking in the view. He watched her, her arms folded over the rail. Her gaze wasn’t on the skyline, though; she was actually peeping into one of his faraway neighbors’ windows. He knew he liked this girl.
“Do you like it up here, love”
“Of course,” she said, turning around. “It’s Disneyland for people with tiny apartments and too many roommates.”
